Dr. Kharbanda brings over four decades of expertise in orthodontics, craniofacial and dentofacial deformities, especially in cleft lip and palate care.

He has been involved in cleft care for a long time, and, following advanced clinical and research training in the UK (as a British Commonwealth Medical Fellow) and further training in the USA & Canada, he has contributed to establishing and advancing standards of cleft care in India.

He combines high clinical competence with a patient-centred approach. His vast experience covers treatment of malocclusion, cleft-related deformities, jaw and facial structural issues, and comprehensive orthodontic care for both children and adults.

• Former Chief & Head of the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Deformities, and Head of the Centre for Dental Education & Research, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
• Former Director of the WHO-Collaborating Centre on Oral Health Promotion and of the National Oral Health Programme under the Government of India.
